Plymouth Church School is a non-sectarian, independent private preschool with 170 children housed on the historic Plymouth Church campus in Brooklyn Heights. For almost 30 years, Plymouth has been a special place where young children are encouraged to explore and ask questions about the world around them. Our young learners, ages 2 to 6, benefit from a child centered approach to education that allows each child to be challenged in a nurturing environment that emphasizes hands-on learning and an emergent project based curriculum. Assistant Teacher:
We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to join our warm and inclusive community as an Assistant Teacher. As part of a staff of 30 committed early childhood educators, you will work closely with a very experienced Head Teacher who will mentor you as you develop your teaching skills.
The Assistant Teacher is a full-time, ten-month position for the 2024-25 school year.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have a BA from an accredited college or university, have experience working with young children, a positive attitude, a warm and caring demeanor and a willingness to learn.

At Plymouth Church School, salary is determined by an equitable salary scale established for all teaching staff and is commensurate with education, state certification and years of experience.
Salary Range: $48,769 - $57,795
