Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced part time Daycare Education Director to lead our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum, staff development, and daily operations of the daycare. The Education Director will ensure a nurturing and educational environment for children while fostering strong relationships with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development:

- Design and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

- Regularly assess and update the program to align with best practices in early childhood education.

Staff Management:

- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of educators and support staff.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.

Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure that the daycare meets all state licensing requirements and adheres to health and safety regulations.

- Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Family Engagement:

- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, events, and workshops.

- Address concerns and feedback from parents in a timely and professional manner.

Community Involvement:

- Collaborate with local organizations and resources to enhance program offerings and community presence.

- Promote the daycare’s mission and values within the community.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with [X] years in a leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.

- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and regulations.
