Work in our family's home with a young adult with autism, fairly high on the spectrum. Provide respite care that includes long walks in the park, preparing meals, light housework, reading stories and other activities such as puzzles and helping him to perform his chores. Students of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with experience working with with autistic clients are very welcome! Our son has some speech and also uses ipad and the proloquo app to communicate. He loves to take long walks in Central Park, which is across the street from our home at the very northeast corner of the park in East Harlem. He loves music, photographs, and puzzles. 20-30 hours per week are available; we can schedule around your availability. We are close to both the 110 street stop on the 2/3 and the 6 subways.
