Position Overview:
We are seeking a High School Spanish Teacher part time or full time to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Spanish and be well versed and demonstrate a versatile approach to teaching the Spanish language developing Spanish conversational skills, language usage, and grammar.
Skill and usage of various audio programs in developing fluency is an important component of the Spanish instructional program. Computer programs that support Spanish grammar and conversational Spanish opportunities are also important teaching methodologies.
If applying for a full-time position the applicant will be teaching two content areas, Spanish and either Social Studies, English, or Science.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the current NY State High School Spanish language standards along with demonstrated experience.
For full time, the applicant will have the educational preparation and experience in another subject area: English, Social Studies or Science.
Develop skill sets in the Spanish language including fluency and grammar.
Assess student progress in the content areas and provide constructive feedback.
Encourage critical thinking and discussion in the classroom.
Participate in collaborative planning with colleagues and contribute to school activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Master’s preferred. For full-time applicants at least two–three years’ experience teaching Spanish and another content area — English, Social Studies, or Science.
Spanish and History, English or a Science NYS teaching certification preferred.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Full-time Employment:
$72,000–$84,000 commensurate with educational preparation and a proven track record of performance
