Concept Music is looking for a pianist to teach piano 1-4 afternoons/week.
Most lessons are at the homes of our students. We have students in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn Heights and Midwood.
Below are a few relevant details:
No piano teaching experience is required, but you must be able to play competently.
You must have a degree in music from an accredited college or university.
You must be able to legally work in the United States.
You must provide your own transportation.
You would set your own availability and I would do my best to fill that availability depending on the prospective students’ availability.
Concept Music has a unique piano teaching method and philosophy and you would be expected to learn and teach by that method. There will be a few weeks of training, which is paid at $15/hour before you are assigned students.
You would check in weekly with me for 10-30 minutes to discuss your lessons. I will be a resource to help with any pedagogic or methodology questions, in addition to handling tuition and student aquisition.
Pay is $50/hour. Beginner lessons are 30 minutes, intermediate lessons are 45 minutes and advanced lessons (including music theory, competition prep or ABRSM prep) are one hour weekly.
