KGA is a small, less than 10 persons, architectural firm started in 1990 based in Chelsea with a wide array of projects, including commercial, institutional, single and multi-family residences, affordable and supportive housing, event spaces, TV studios and temporary installations. Projects include interior renovations, vertical and horizontal enlargements and new construction. Employees are given responsibility and experience in all aspects of Design, from Schematics through Construction Administration and expediting. All employees work with each other, our consultants and our contractors to complete quality projects for our clients.
Kossar + Garry Architects, LLP (KGA) is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter, that is not only talented and creative but also has a high EQ to fill an Intermediate Architectural Designer position:
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch). Only applicants with Bachelors of Architecture or Masters of Architecture will be considered.
-Must have at least 3 - 6 years of U.S. experience; NYC experience preferred.
- Professional Revit Experience is preferred.
- Strong graphic skills required, including expertise in AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing, with clients, consultants and contractors, is essential.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are required.
- Knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Familiarity with NYC Zoning and Building Codes.
- Ability to compose a CD set and a NYC filing set.
- Ability to review Junior staff drawings.
- Ability to coordinate with consultants and vendors.
- Ability to conduct site visits.
