Minerva Audio Visual is a growing and dynamic audio, video, IT, telecom, low voltage and lighting production, design, and installation company located in New York City. We do work all over the tri-state area and across the country. We are currently looking for qualified full time, part time, and freelance, Project Managers, Assistant Project Mangers and Project Coordinators to work on a variety of diverse audio, video, IT, lighting, staging and low voltage projects. Architects are welcome and encouraged!
Our projects are wide ranging, from corporate board rooms, to high end residential, to full blown theatrical stages, and back into retail and commercial lobbies and amenities areas.
We design and implement automated lighting systems, audio and video front of house systems, server and IT infrastructure, phone systems, fitness center AV, unique video projection systems, multizone overhead sound systems, wifi networks and architectural lighting / video, among others.
If you have a background or expertise in architecture, engineering, audio, acoustics, video, IT, networking or mechanical design, but are exhausted with a repetitive cycle, then Minerva AV may be your ticket to a new path with a challenging and rewarding hands-on work experience.

If you are responsive, dedicated and effective with clients and deadlines, your hours will lead to more advanced and exciting projects! Our projects have a technical orientation: signal path, schematics and design drawings, delivery/logistics, coordinating with architects, engineers, electricians, project managers, management companies and other trades, audio/video/computer parts & pieces, and similar engineering. But there is always a splash of design and aesthetic in all we do as well. It has to work and it has to look good!
The ideal candidate would be detailed orientated and organized, and have experience in designing, managing or coordinating projects for audio installations, architectural projects, video installations, engineering projects, IT installations, lighting installations, and construction or electrical installations. Often the projects combine one or more of these elements. The projects may be permanent or temporary. Experience in one or the other usually transfers over to the other.
Examples of some recent various projects that we have completed are:
-design and installation of video projection in gallery space, coordinating with lighting and physical design elements
-NYC ballroom awards night with full sound, video, lighting, special effects, staging and stage manager at Waldorf Astoria/Hilton Hotel/Park Avenue Armory
-top to bottom design and installation of all AV, IT, security, access control and Lutron Lighting dimming elements of a 30 story residential tower
-design and install of premier NYC private residence complete low voltage system, dimming, shade control, whole house audio, multiple HD displays delivering Blu Ray, Cable TV and streaming content, surveillance cameras, burglar alarm system, Verizon and Spectrum redundant internet back bones, multi-point wifi access points, phone system, iPad touch panel automation control of the entire array, and an AV closet with a lot of wires in it.
-design and install of full premise wiring for phone and data system in retail showroom featuring switches, UPS's, patch panels, and interconnection of servers and IP Phone devices
-full install of corporate board room run by premium automation control system (Crestron, Kramer, Universal, Savant) with Poly/Cisco/Logitech video conferencing system, overhead sound, drop down screen and Epson/Panasonic projector.

Qualifications:
-Proficient with basic computer, audio, video, IT, electrical, networking, engineering, architectural and surveillance system design and features, or a combination thereof
-AutoCAD, CAD fluent
-Ability to travel to job site on a regular basis, multiple times per week, including work based out of our Roslyn Heights main office
-Present a clean, professional appearance and be able to communicate clearly and concisely in English
-Be able to navigate the typical office setting with class and professionalism.
-At least 3 years experience in related fields
-Generally read and understand technical wire diagrams/schematics/drawings
-Can solve the problem before you leave, even if it is a work around
-Can multitask and think on their feet
-Proficient with email, word documents, on line calendars, MS Outlook or similar
-A plus would be experience with Poly, Cisco, JBL, Crestron, Savant, Bose, Sharp, Samsung, Speco, Black Box, XLR, ΒΌ" TRS, Sonance, Netgear, APC, Kramer, Chief Manufacturing, Panasonic, CAT 6, RG6U, Lutron, Altman, Extron, Pico Digital, Logitech, and Middle Atlantic, or a combination thereof.
