Description Expanding New York City organization is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks including managing accounts payable, account reconciliation, etc. The selected candidate will also perform bank reconciliations. Responsibilities Overseeing accounts payable and outsourced functions Performing account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy Conducting bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial information Utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting tasks Handling data entry tasks for invoices and other financial information Managing General Ledger (GL) entries and reconciliation Carrying out payroll reconciliation tasks Ensuring month-end close activities are completed in a timely manner Utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting Having a minimum of five years of experience in similar accounting rolesRequirements 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. Skilled in conducting Bank Reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns. Must have a strong background in Bookkeeping to maintain financial records and reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and interpreting data. Experience in Month End Close procedures.
