Description We are in search of a diligent Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. This role primarily involves managing client receivables, initiating collection efforts, and maintaining up-to-date accounts receivable records. As part of our team, you'll also be responsible for reconciling client and company records, reviewing and sending monthly statements to clients, and handling various transactions.Responsibilities Review client receivables for past due balances and initiate collection efforts Consistently communicate the status of payments to project managers Reconcile clients and company's records to ensure accuracy Maintain accounts receivable records, including payments, retainers, and credits applied Review and send accounts receivable statements to clients on a monthly basis Handle various transactions, such as vendor payments, client receipts, and expense reports Engage in royalty accounting, including statement review, invoice preparation, and processing of client payments Carry out ad hoc analyses and special projects that require strong analytical skills Utilize accounting software like Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks Apply skills such as account reconciliation and cash collections in day-to-day operations. Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role Proficiency in account reconciliation Experience with accounts receivable (AR) is mandatory Demonstrated ability in billing processes and procedures Experience with cash applications and cash collections Familiarity with commercial collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems Knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
