Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including broad market, long duration, stable value, intermediate high yield, emerging market debt, short and ultra-short duration, global bonds, structured products, mortgages and tax-aware strategies.Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join the Emerging Markets Corporate Debt team as a Portfolio Manager, helping to manage the EM Corporate portfolios. Our corporate EMD business is one of the largest in the sector (circa $10bn), and this role will be essential in contributing to the success of the team. We are looking for a Portfolio Manager with a value driven mindset who has risk taking ability. This position will be based in New York and will require significant coordination with the head of the Emerging Market Corporate team as well as the broader Global EMD team.Job ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibility will be to manage EM Corporate Portfolios (Funds and Mandate)

R esponsibility to formulate Credit strateg ies to deliver significant alpha over and above our client's target. Using primarily bonds and also derivatives (long/short). Credit Universe will be primarily EM Corporates and Sovereign bonds, both HY and IG

Formulate asset allocation strategy in coordination with the lead for the Book of Business

Leverage and Work closely with the Global EMD Credit group to access and implement the best ideas for the business

Provide in depth market views on the credit segment and actively participate in formulating our credit strategy for the EMD group as a whole

Articulate and maintain detailed recommendation and investment views

Represent the EM Corporate, Blended and Total Return Business in marketing efforts with clients and the distribution sales force

Implement Market best practices and seek to add value to our investment process

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

8+ years Emerging Market Corporate Debt experience

Solid EMD experience and in particular in the Credit space

Proven Track record as Buy Side Portfolio Manager

Ability to detect and articulate asymmetric credit strategies

Ability to deep dive in Credit names and identify values and trade ideas

Strong knowledge of Fixed Income Markets

Excellent macro understand of the global financial markets

A strong knowledge of the various EMD financial products

Attention to detail whilst multi-tasking in a fast moving and demanding environment

Strong team player with great communication and relationship skills

Drive and determination coupled with a strong results-orientated work ethic and a natural inclination towards a team based collaborative environment is critical in this job

Contribute to and manage projects to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency
