Position SummarySupport efforts to enhance college access, highlight pathways for admission to NYU, and increase enrollment among historically underrepresented students. As a member of the SPARKS Team (Supporting Pathways for Admission through Resources, Knowledge, and Support), assist in promoting NYU’s diverse academic and extracurricular opportunities. Aid prospective students in navigating the college admissions process by providing customized resources and individualized support. Help maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to assist underrepresented populations in higher education. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions values a team that reflects the diversity of its student body. This is a three-year fixed-term position.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years Relevant professional level experience in an admissions or equivalent combination. Must include experience in advising/counseling, project leadership/management, diversity recruitment, college access, student success and/or community-based organizations.Preferred Experience:2+ years Experience in a project team leadership role and with Slate or other CRM administration preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Ability to market the University independently, provide leadership within a team, multi-task, manage a large volume of work within a set amount of time, work collaboratively and meet project deadlines. Extensive travel and weekend hours required. Valid driver's license required upon hiring. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Strong data fluency required. A background in recruitment, college access, or community-based organizations is desirable, as well as some experience leading projects.Additional InformationIn compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
