Cell Marker/Flow Cytometry

Cell Therapy

Cell-Free DNA Extraction

Cellular Immunology

Clinical Chemistry (Mass Spectrometry, Toxicology, Tumor Marker Testing, Immunology, and Endocrinology)

Clinical Hematology and Coagulation

Hematopathology (jointly with the Department of Pathology)

Histocompatibility HLA Lab

Innovation Center for Development of New Technologies in Cancer Therapies

Multidisciplinary Clinical Microbiology Services (Mycobacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, Special Infectious Disease Serology, Virology and Molecular Diagnostic Testing)

Transfusion Medicine (includes the Blood Bank, Blood Donor Program, and Apheresis).

You will:

Assist the Laboratory Managers in the administrative and technical activities of the Center of Laboratory Medicine to ensure efficient and effective operations and quality of service.

Activities will include the organization of work, supervision of employees, quality management, process improvement and problem solving.

Cover for the Laboratory Managers in their absence.

Be the operations point contact for all the labs.

You need:

A Bachelor’s degree (major: Biology, Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences preferred); Master’s degree preferred. If degree is in another discipline, all didactic and training requirement prerequisites must be complete as outlined by NYS and other accrediting agencies.

6+ years of Clinical Laboratory experience (including supervisory experience). Candidates who only have research experience will not be considered.

A NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, or ASCP Certification with eligibility to obtain a NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.

ASCP Certification preferred

Automated track system experience preferred

Hours:

12 Midnight - 8 AM

Flexibility for 11:30pm – 7:30am

  • Review project documents (plans, details, specs, proposals, drawings, etc.), research relevant codes and standards, research product information (materials, data sheets, etc.), and ensure that CANYs Quality Standards are met. Meet with internal project teams to review proposals, construction documents, timelines, and project budgets. Conduct pre-bid walk-through with bidding contractors and prepare bid RFI responses, required addenda, and bid leveling sheets to review with the PM. Prepare investigative and assessment project reports in the standard corporate format providing photographs, FISP reports, due diligence reports, and sign-offs. Perform thorough review of Shop Drawings and technical submittals. Utilize theoretical and practical knowledge in building codes and applicable industry standards, historic preservation, and architecture.
