When you join PPGNY as an Advanced Practice Clinician you will provide medical examinations for the purpose of providing sexual and reproductive health care including assessing general health, diagnosing medical conditions, and providing therapeutic assistance for a determined range of infections and disorders including HIV. Assistant Vice President of Quality is a leader who will oversee quality and patient safety throughout Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY). This role directs and monitors the operations of the Quality Department across the affiliate to ensure quality patient care and outcomes. This role is responsible for facilitating the overall success of Quality Improvement Initiatives through the development and implementation of an affiliate-wide Quality and Patient Safety plan demonstrating a focus on prevention of harm and a reduction in adverse events. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and consistent quality data measurement is available for comparison with appropriate benchmarks to support patient safety and quality related improvement initiatives. This role introduces and supports evidenced based practice and clinical quality in the delivery of sexual and reproductive health services across the continuum of care, including abortion and gender affirming health care as it relates to the patient population of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York (PPGNY). This position requires travel to other centers when doing site visits and implementation of initiatives for staff and clinical services . ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the development and implementation of quality practice standards that support the creation of a unified quality program throughout the affiliate.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on performance efforts surrounding regulatory and other accrediting agencies (i.e. DOH, PPFA, Article 28).
Coordinates and manages innovation in clinical practice to include care delivery model, achievement of a Strategic Plan and alignment with affiliate quality goals.
Oversee and participate in Root Cause Analyses and the implementation of corrective action plans.
Provides oversight to the design, implementation, and management of data collection, quality metrics, reporting, and insights.
Utilizes PDSA or other quality improvement methodology to achieve and sustain outcomes
Oversees the Press Ganey/Patient Experience Data and implements corrective action based on responses.
Participates in Compliance, Patient Safety, Quality Management, and other committees, as needed.
Provides expertise and guidance to front line clinical staff in the achievement of safe and effective system design and process improvement.
Develops standards, systems and tools for data collection and analysis of clinical practice patterns, environment of care, patient safety and resource allocation within practice.
Collaboration with Epic leads in identifying and implementing key process changes required for efficient practice operations and adherence to best practice standards.
Oversees implementation and standardization of infection control standards.
Oversees the development and implementation of practice standards which support the delivery of patient-centered, cost effective and quality driven care.
Spearheads clinical standardization in targeted process improvement initiatives and evaluate success through established criteria and measurement tools.
Monitors organizational outcomes against external comparative databases, benchmarks, and evidence-based knowledge.
Guides organizational leadership in standards and methodologies to assure the delivery of quality patient care services.
Provides clinical support and consultation, as needed, to assure efficient, high-quality, safe, and equitable care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Licensures/Certifications:
Current NY Nurses License. Current BLS certification.
Requires satisfactory completion of courses required for graduation from an accredited college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Requires previous experience of a minimum of 2 years in a nursing supervisor or leadership role.
Requires previous Quality, Performance Improvement experience.
