Field inspection and supervision of subsurface investigations in soils and rock
Perform geotechnical engineering design and analyses for tunnels, underground structures, bridges, and retaining walls under the supervision of a senior engineer
Support preparation of geotechnical memoranda, data, and design reports
Field Inspection of construction
Assist task leaders in the preparation of reports and Contract Documents
Who You AreRequired Qualifications
1-3 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
Good understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines (Structures, Civil, Environmental, and Planning)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, other disciplines, managers, and other staff)
Ability and willingness to travel and perform fieldwork
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineer in Training Certification.
Prior design experience.
A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
