Description .An opportunity is available for a litigation attorney with 2+ years of relevant experience to join a highly regarded global law firm with aviation, aerospace, and products liability practice based in New York. This role is ideal for bright litigators who are familiar with the litigation process, possess excellent writing skills, and are proactive in managing their caseload. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently throughout the discovery process, assist in trial preparation, and demonstrate a genuine interest in aviation and related areas.This practice focuses on representing a variety of clients, including airlines, airports, municipalities, government contractors, retailers, manufacturers of aviation, space, military, and consumer products, and their insurers. The team is dedicated to meeting litigation and client deadlines efficiently and effectively.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Taking depositions, arguing motions, and attending court hearings and mediations as required.
Drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
Conducting thorough legal research and drafting memoranda.
Preparing status reports and providing recommendations to clients.
Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation.
Managing all phases of litigation, from responsive pleadings through trial.
Education and ExperiencePreferred candidates will have:
Admission to practice law in New York.
2–4 years of relevant litigation experience.
Discovery and law and motion experience.
State and federal court experience.
Strong academic credentials and work history.
