This individual will provide expert-level, demonstrable experience working with Power BI and Power BI Report Builder. The Developer will support ongoing demand by designing and maintaining complex queries and reports using data sources that include but are not limited to enterprise CRM (MS Dynamics 365) and data warehouse (Blackboard Analytics). The Developer is expected to have a minimum of four years of experience delivering high-quality data visualizations and interactive reporting and have excellent attention to detail pertinent to data quality, visual aesthetics, and the overall user experience. The Developer will also work closely with subject matter experts to elicit business analytics requirements to meet business needs. The Developer will report to the Senior Director of Advancement Systems and Analytics.Operational Management Responsible for Power BI development and administration. Designs, codes, tests, and documents all new or modified Power BI reports. Maintains data flows and datasets. Enhances and maintains existing Power BI reports. Performs requirements gathering and analysis: design methodology, testing, documentation, and deploying report solutions. Develops visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop. Creates paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, finance, or another business-related field. Four or more years of business intelligence development experience. Expert-level, demonstrable experience developing data visualizations, dashboards and reports with Power BI and Report Builder. Excellent understanding of DAX queries and experience in SQL query writing in MS SQL Server Management Studio. Experience with BI development best practices such as agile methodologies, source code control, prototyping, and testing. Experience writing complex DAX queries and writing SQL queries in MS SQL Server Management Studio. Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models or work with the Data warehouse team on data modeling. Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Experience creating and maintaining SSRS reports. Experience working with MS Dynamics and/or similar CRM systems. Knowledge of Ellucian CRM Advance data structures.
