Residents and members of Cure enjoy preferred access to the building's three distinct event spaces, each outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and supported by its on-site team. Located in close proximity to Grand Central and Penn Station, Cure is a perfect place to meet with out-of-town clients or guests interested in exploring the area's vibrant restaurant and bar scene.Working as the Catering Director for R/A, you will have full responsibility for the quality and success of catered events at designated corporate accounts.This position offers a primarily Monday through Friday schedule (some nights and/or weekends), a luxury client space, and a dynamic team of hospitality focused individuals that share a common goal of creating outstanding experiences.Key Responsibilities:

Coordinates and oversees internal and external catering events

Develops and maintains the catering marketing plan including a comprehensive event planning service to clients and detailed menu development

Hires, trains, and schedules a small catering staff, and will be actively involved in the development of existing catering staff in-service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures

Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost control, foods cost control and preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events

Able to support cafe operations when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry including some supervisory or management

Catering experience

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, EMS and Spoonfed experience preferred

Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Outstanding business etiquette and client relations
