Position SummaryUnder the general supervision, responsible for the budget negotiations and billing compliance activities of all research studies.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepares, reviews and negotiates individual study-specific budgets and payment terms for industry-sponsored clinical trials. Collaborates with study team managers and PIs to ensure comprehensive and timely budget development.

Performs protocol-specific Medicare Coverage Analyses. Ensures that Human Research Billing Analysis Forms (HRBAF) are completed accurately and timely for all studies and are referenced and adhered to as studies progress.

Develops and maintains system to disseminate research billing information (SOC vs. research non-billables). Works with billing compliance liaison to reconcile billing audit findings and ensure all clinical research procedures are billed appropriately.

Tracks research accounts to ensure timely study payments. Collaborates with study team managers to analyze and process all research-related bills (ie: NYPH, POBO, pharmacy, pathology, etc.).

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EducationBachelor's Degree

ExperienceApproximately 2 to 3 years of experience in a clinical or research setting.Experience with research budgeting, finance, and billing compliance aspects of clinical research preferred.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.

Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to remain focused despite frequent interruptions.

Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.

Demonstrated ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner with all departmental faculty and staff, as well as other institutional representatives.
