Role: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote(New York)
Duration: Fulltime
Job Description:
The cloud infrastructure engineer will be part of the team responsible for key operational aspects like availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and integration of on-prem and public cloud infrastructure and data flows with heavy focus on building self-service tools and automation.
The ideal candidate is one who has hands on Linux, Python/Java, Kafka and Azure.
Required Skills:
Hands-on Public Cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
Strong experience working with cloud services (preferably Azure or AWS) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure
Expert level knowledge with AWS or Azure design, architecture and services
Hands on experience using Apache Kafka, Python/Java & Linux / Unix scripting
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN & enterprise networking concepts
Expertise and experience in querying data using both SQL/NoSQL
Strong fundamentals in distributed system design and operation
Experience building automation to operate large-scale data systems
Experience creating technical architecture documentation
Sound experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g.: Terraform, Ansible, Cloudformation etc.)
Sound knowledge of server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing
Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems
Knowledge of system monitoring in a cloud environment including cloud specific products and tools
Good knowledge of security (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos, Policies, entitlements etc.)
Infrastructure deployment experience in the Public cloud
Knowledge of security controls for the Public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management)
Knowledge of 3rd party workload automation and distribution middleware technologies (such as IBM Spectrum Symphony)
Experience with Agile development methodology and CI/CD
A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams
Experience with system performance
Desired skills:
Experience working with products such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and Azure Synapse as well as other products in Azure Data suite
Knowledge of Data Security, Data Masking and Data Encryption techniques
Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging platforms is a plus
