The Corporate Treasury Technology group works across a range of critical systems that support the Firm’s Global Treasury and Cash Management functions. These functions include management of the Firm's liquidity and capital resources, accessing funding markets to support business requirements, and managing the firm's structural FX and interest rate risks. The Corporate Treasury Technology team is responsible for delivering solutions that satisfy industry and government regulations, meet strategic business visions, and support and optimize Corporate Treasury functions.This position is a hands-on role within the Funding, Liquidity Management, and Risk fleet to deliver Treasury’s strategic and modern platform. The candidate will be working on a critical initiative to support business growth in Morgan Stanley’s US banks and to improve the accuracy of real-time liquidity reporting on our Liquidity Management platform. The platform consists of a rich technology stack from Java server side to Angular front end, Spark & Kafka middleware, and Power BI for data analytics and reporting with ongoing work for cloud adoption. The ideal candidate possesses business analysis, software engineering, and problem-solving skills for a dynamic work environment. We look for enthusiastic technologists to join our inclusive and collaborative team. Required Skills The right candidate must have the following key skills:

Practical knowledge of enterprise software development in Core Java

Competence with databases and SQLs

Familiarity with messaging protocols & formats and synchronous/asynchronous communication patterns such as REST/HTTP/JMS/Kafka

Familiarity with micro-service architecture and distributed processing

Practical knowledge of source control and issue management tools, ideally Git and JIRA or Rally

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with team members globally

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The ideal candidate would have the following additional skills:

Extensive experience with SpringBoot

Experience with Test Driven Development using frameworks such Junit & Mockito and Behavior Driven Development using frameworks such as Cucumber, JBehave and Concordion

Experience with Angular or React and Typescript in addition to their core competency

Practical experience in Agile/Scrum-based development

Competence with Unix & Linux

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
