DescriptionAmazon Live is a dynamic live video production team dedicated to enhancing the shopping experience on Amazon. Our team creates engaging and interactive live content, bringing products to life for customers around the world. As a Lead of Art & Design, you will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our live broadcasts and post-production projects.Key job responsibilities

Oversee Graphics Department:

Lead and mentor a team of designers, graphics operators and project managers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality visual assets for all 1P/2P livestream productions ensuring all visuals align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall viewer experience.

QA all design work produced by the graphics team.

Set clear creative standards and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement and innovation. The CD will also collaborate on A/B tests and pivot design frameworks when production observes customer signals (positive or negative).

Collaborate closely with producers and content creators to conceptualize and execute visually engaging graphics packages, lower-thirds, overlays, and promotional materials.

Establish design frameworks for 1P and 2P designs that Invent and Simplify a cohesive and unique feel for each series, developing mechanisms that can accommodate most producer requests and help elevate the look of each stream while maintaining brand requirements and deadlines at scale.

Create a supportive working environment for the design team, implementing mechanisms for growth and creative ideating within the creation and design of new graphic assets.

Implement best practices in design and production to ensure high-quality and cutting-edge visuals while staying within brand guidelines and budgetary constraints.

Create Cohesion with Set Design :

Collaborate with the Manager of Design, Studio & Events on processes from concept to execution, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to create captivating and immersive environments in-studio and on-location.

Contribute to the development of comprehensive design briefs including mood boards to communicate creative concepts and establish a cohesive visual language across sets.

Continuously innovate and explore new set design concepts for special events and Monetization pitches to keep our broadcasts visually fresh and engaging.

Artistic Guidance for Post-Production Projects:

Take a lead role in shaping the artistic direction of unique post-production projects in order to enhance the artistic quality, ensuring alignment with the overall brand aesthetic.

Provide artistic direction and guidance during the post-production phase, ensuring that editing and visual effects enhance storytelling and audience engagement while remaining on-brand.

Collaborate with editors and animators to achieve cohesive and impactful visual narratives, including motion graphics, compositing, and color grading.

QA specific rough cuts to ensure alignment with creative objectives and brand standards.

Lead All Creative Aspects of Marketing Campaigns:

Partner with external design firms and creative design agencies to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns that promote Amazon Live events and initiatives.

Define creative briefs and project scopes, ensuring that deliverables align with brand guidelines and marketing/content objectives.

Facilitate collaboration and communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless integration of creative assets and messaging across all creative channels.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

Partner with Marketing, Monetization, Branding and Linear teams to develop promotional/pitch materials and assets that drive viewer engagement and amplify the impact of livestream events.

Foster a collaborative relationship with the XCM team as well as the UX team, encouraging open communication and creative idea-sharing among all team members.

Work closely with producers, directors, and other key stakeholder leadership to understand project objectives and translate creative concepts into actionable on-brand deliverables.

Stay Current with Design Trends:

Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in design and technology to bring innovative and fresh ideas to the team.

Keep abreast of emerging design trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices through research, networking, and participation in relevant conferences and events.

Apply insights and innovative approaches to continuously enhance the visual quality and relevance of Amazon Live productions.

Lead workshops and training sessions to share knowledge and inspire creativity within the creative services team.

The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
