Messages left for other purposes, such as following up on an application or technical issues not related to a disability, will not receive a response.Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Director of Advancement, the Director, Individual Giving is responsible for managing WNET's Individual Giving program, encompassing annual and mid-level donors. This position works closely with colleagues across development to place an increased focus on the health of the donor pipeline across all levels and continue to evolve the fundraising and stewardship programs of WNET. Responsibilities include:In coordination with the Senior Director of Advancement and Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Fundraising, develop annual fundraising strategies and execute operational plans to ensure a holistic approach to revenue generation;Responsible for meeting annual revenue goals for the mid-level giving program via the development of a plan for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors and prospects; assess assigned portfolio to ensure that donors are actively moving through the giving pipeline;Maintain a personal portfolio of donors making gifts of $10,000 and above;Responsible for meeting annual revenue goals for the annual giving program via offline direct response (i.e. direct mail, telemarketing, etc.);Develop and execute annual fundraising plans for the mid-level giving program, working closely with department colleagues and external partners;Supervise individual giving staff and provide guidance on staff portfolios and identify most appropriate person(s) to participate in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individuals; Supervise the direct mail/telemarketing team, ensuring efficient and timely operations of all direct mail and telemarketing fundraising programs;In coordination with the Senior Director and other Development colleagues, prepare and manage annual revenue and expense budgets and forecasts for the individual giving area;Represent the WNET development department at events, as needed;Perform additional duties and special projects, as required.The successful candidate will possess a management style that promotes teamwork, creativity, and open communication, the ability to motivate and interact effectively with Patrons and staff at all levels, and strong organization skills with attention to detail. Additional qualifications include:A minimum of 7 years' related experience required, with a successful track record of increasing responsibility, successful history of individual giving, and staff, volunteer, and committee management;Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques and ethics;Experience in devising strategies for cultivation and solicitation of major donors;Exceptional communication, rapport, and organizational skills; public speaking and meeting facilitation skills;Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM technology (i.e. Salesforce).This is a hybrid position. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $123,000 - $143,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.Minimum Salary: 123000.00
