This includes ensuring each customer has access to business-sized purchase capacity, flexible payment options, meaningful rewards and the powerful backing of American Express. The US Card Lending Team supports this objective by developing compelling products, services and customer engagement strategies to meet small business owners’ evolving buying and paying needs.We are hiring a Director of Product Management for the Pay Over Time Portfolio. This portfolio is GCS’ largest lending program and a significant revenue driver for the U.S. SME business. This individual will lead a team of 3 to help drive the continued convergence of Spend and Lend, own relationships across the enterprise, and be responsible for contributing to the short- and long-term profitability of the Pay Over Time portfolio. Specific responsibilities will include:

Manage the P&L for our Pay Over Time portfolio

Drive profitable and sustainable awareness, adoption and engagement on our Charge portfolios

Define the next evolution of the Pay Over Time charge to lend convergence to ensure that the portfolio is equipped to thrive today and in the future

Leverage segmentation, analysis, and marketing expertise and insights from partner teams to tailor solutions to customer needs, including the oversight of new features and capabilities

Working across Marketing,Risk, Pricing, and Treatments partner teams to increase accounts, drive customer engagement, and responsibly manage growth

Developing external listening posts to ensure voice of customer & voice of competition monitoring

Identifying, evaluating and launching product-specific & portfolio-wide enhancements

Deepening relationships and collaboration with key partner teams for both card and beyond card lending strategie

Ensuring a strong control and compliance environment

The candidate should have a proven history in product management, a customer-centric approach to design, knowledge of the small business segment, and a fluency in Lending economics and P&L management. Success will require a collaborative leader with the ability to work in a fast paced environment leading multiple funded initiatives.Minimum Qualifications:

Strong customer mindset and behavior and proven experience translating customer insights into action

High proficiency in lending card economics

Prior experience leading teams and driving strong employee engagement with a proven track-record of developing talent

Superior relationship management skills and demonstrated experience in ability to engage and collaborate with business partners and senior leaders

Excellent project management skills with the capability to balance multiple stakeholders and workstreams in parallel

Thoughtful, concise communicator comfortable communicating directly with leadership and partner teamsand with a proven ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment

Creative thinker with the ability to frame forward-thinking strategies rooted in data and action-oriented recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior small business financing experience preferred.
