Location - 200 Park Ave, NYC or Bridgewater, NJ Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) The OpportunityThe Director, Thought Leadership role resides in the US Group Benefits Marketing organization and is responsible for the creation of thought leadership content and stories for the MetLife Brand to drive customer engagement and help support the achievement of business goals. This director is responsible for leading a team of cross functional partners, external partners and one direct report end to end, leading strategy development, ensuring the development of the annual EBTS (Employee Benefits Trends Study) narrative and other thought leadership content, and partnering closely with activation teams to ensure measurable impact. This director will be the champion of new ways of working across the team, ensuring agile principles and processes are utilized to drive efficiency and greater value and impact. As more and more activation pods are created, this director will work closely with pod leads and activation leads to ensure consistent development and utilization of content and deployment of EBTS data, other data, and insights. How You'll Help Us Build a Confident FutureThe Director, Thought Leadership will also lead the development and maintenance of key partnerships within MetLife including Customer Marketing, Product Marketing, MetLife HR, and the Group Benefits business, ensuring customer priorities and needs are well understood and that this entire team is fully engaged in the successful distribution and share out of key learning and insights to drive customer impact.What You Need to Succeed (Requirements): 7+ years of experience in consumer and/or B2B marketing preferred 5+ years of team or people leadership experience preferred 5+ years of content development expertise, knowledge of marketing strategy, execution/production and in-campaign optimizations Knowledge of the group benefits market Experience with reporting and analytics Experience with agile marketing BA/BS Degree required; MBA preferred Strong leadership skills Demonstrated marketing and leadership techniques Management of multifaceted initiatives or programs Creative and strategic thinker Problem solver and critical thinker Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to work with senior management and partners across the organization at various levels Strong presentation skills Organizational skills Ability to adjust to changing prioritiesAt MetLife, we're leading the global transformation of an industry we've long defined.
