Provide timely and insightful economic research and investment recommendations on interest rates and foreign exchange for our Emerging Market portfolio; participate in research meetings and produce innovative and cutting-edge research pieces; conduct independent economic and financial markets research on global monetary policy, fiscal policy, external macroeconomic accounts (including current account, trade balance, and international reserves), interaction of the macroeconomic environment with prices of financial assets, and financial crises; perform econometric analysis to assess global macroeconomic shocks and risks to the portfolio, including using Vector Autoregression (VAR) models, regressions, recession probability models using financial markets data, and Nowcasting models of GDP for various countries using Principal Components Analysis (PCA); model market moves and financial variables; apply advanced macroeconomic models, including debt sustainability analysis, and inflation and growth forecasting; provide timely fundamental economic research and investment recommendations on interest rates and foreign exchange. Requirements: Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in Emerging Markets economics or related field. Experience must include the following: Econometric analysis and statistical methods; understanding of monetary and fiscal policy in Emerging Market countries; financial markets analysis and forecasting. 10% domestic travel to meet with clients and brokers. Salary: $200,000 to $250,000/YRLocation: Duquesne Family Office, LLC New York, NYMinimum Salary: 200000
