Energy Engineer III

AECOM has a position available for an Energy Engineer to join our growing Energy Team. The successful candidate should be a dynamic, self-directed individual with an excellent understanding of mechanical systems in large buildings and a demonstrated skill for developing energy efficiency solutions by employing data analytics. In this role you will be responsible for developing and delivering smart energy projects that leverage the use of data analytics to identify, analyze, and specify energy reduction measures.

 

The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:Demonstrating the ability to identify energy reduction opportunities through the analysis of large data sets is key to this positionInterface with the customer to identify project/scope needs and communicate engineering solutions.Conducting Energy Audits and site InvestigationsIdentify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with Lighting, HVAC Systems, Energy Management and Control Systems and Building EnvelopeAnalyze utility data to determine customer energy performance parameters and develop applicable rate structures used for cost savings calculationsPerform energy calculations using temperature-bin analysis methods and building energy modeling simulations to quantify energy conservation measures (ECMs)Develop cost estimates associated with ECMsWrite technical scopes of work for subcontractorsWrite detailed ECM and technical approach descriptions to be included in proposal submissionsLeading client project meetings to inform stakeholders’ understanding of data analysis output DCS—EnergyAECOM’s Energy practice provides a wide range of services from consulting and engineering design to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients.
