TECH VALLEY TALENT (TVT) IS A SMALL BUSINESS LEADER PROVIDING IT SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC SECTOR. WE HAVE NUMEROUS IT POSITIONS AVAILABLE AND ARE SEEKING IT TECHNOLOGISTS TO ADD TO OUR GROWING PRACTICE AREAS AS WELL AS INDIVIDUAL CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES.

We have a 24-month project with our client in NYC, NY that requires a Project Manager with Capital Improvement expertise.
Work will be hybrid NYC and remote.
Work week is 37.5 hours.


The Project Manager will provide direct outreach to portfolio owners, managers and organizations representing owners and managers on new multifamily offering and all existing programs serving the multifamily sector. Candidate will also serve as direct point of contact and provide key account management for portfolio owners and managers.

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:



  • Engaging with MF building owners/industry groups/service providers.

  • Managing incoming questions about low carbon programs.

  • Serving as key account manager for multifamily building owners and property managers to provide comprehensive information about client programs and shepherding them through program processes, including coordinating with program project managers and technical consultants.

  • Facilitating hand-off and/or participation across different client multifamily opportunities and teams.

  • Coordinating public-facing events, including industry events, feedback sessions, focus groups, and workshops.

  • Drafting and reviewing program marketing information (e.g. talking points, website content, press releases, social media posts, etc.) working with marketing and communications teams.

  • Developing and updating presentations on various program resources and tools based on audience.

  • Updating and maintaining database of stakeholder and organization contact info.

  • Engaging with internal client MF teams.

  • Staying up to date on client and utility multifamily program offerings.

  • Resolve issues which may arise regarding assigned projects with applicants or consultants.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to client's strategies and business processes.

  • Supporting project management for programs.

  • Supporting program operations, processes, etc.

  • Supporting procurement processes.

  • Support and develop tracking and reporting for new initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned to support the key outcomes for the Multifamily Team.


Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:



  • Understanding of capital improvement cycles, capital improvement projects, and decision making in multifamily buildings, preferably, or other building types.

  • Extensive network of connections in the NYC multifamily real estate sector (large portfolio owners, management companies, etc.).

  • Understanding of the NYC residential real estate market.

  • Experience with account management, sales, and/or business development roles, engaging and building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including high-level decision-makers in organizations.

  • Experience with coordinating meetings for stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to develop clear and compelling presentations.

  • Outstanding external and customer communications (written and verbal) skills.

  • Develop resources and talking points that distill information across multiple programs regarding: eligibility, program requirements, and program resources (e.g. funding) to clearly communicate to different types of audiences.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to successfully multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be a self-starter and function well independently and in teams


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with clean energy programs in buildings, especially on the implementation side.

  • Familiarity with New York state clean energy programs in buildings.

  • Some knowledge of energy consuming systems commonly found in multifamily buildings, including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technologies, lighting and building envelope.

  • Some knowledge of energy conservation measures in deep retrofit energy efficiency projects for existing multifamily buildings (e.g. Passive House, heat pumps, etc.).

  • Manage scope, schedule and budget of project agreements and other program support agreements.
