Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. Morgan Stanley’s Securitized Products Group (“SPG”) is a market leader across the complex securitized products landscape, providing top of the line solutions to our diverse client base across Commercial, Residential, Corporate, and Asset-Backed verticals.The SPG COO Team is responsible for strategy and development across the business and work closely with the Global COO Team, SPG Management and colleagues across support functions. The team is looking for an analyst or associate to support the broader SPG COO Team. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with a keen interest in strategy and financial markets.Key Responsibilities – COO Analyst / Associate− Business Strategy and Coverage: Support SPG Management and COO Team with business planning. Drive strategy and priority initiatives across SPG Lending, Trading and New Issue. Projects include but are not limited to new product development, revenue planning, capital analysis, and risk management reporting. Requires the ability to think creatively and strategically in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.

− Coordination and Partnership: Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal business partners across Finance, Operations, Risk Management and other support functions. Collaborate with key stakeholders to successfully execute on key business initiatives. Requires the ability to synthesize ideas and effectively communicate messaging.

− Data and Analysis: Perform analysis of large data sets and synthesize into digestible presentations to aid Senior Management's strategic decision making across SPG. Leverage MS network, internal relationships, and technology to gather quality-controlled data. − Undergraduate degree or higher− Analysts: Candidate preferred to have at least one internship in a Finance-related field. Interest in Fixed Income / financial markets required.− Associates: Candidate preferred to have 2 years of work experience in Fixed Income, Investment Banking, or Strategy− Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong quantitative, analytical, and modelling skills− Solutions-oriented mind-set with strong written / oral communication skills− Strong organizational / time management skills with an attention to detail− Ability to collaborate within a team environment/Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year commencement of employment for Analyst, and between $150,000 and $200,000 per year commencement of employment for Associate.
