Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Finance Manager based in New York. The role entails managing financial activities within the team, including budgeting, auditing, and accounting. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in various accounting software systems such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, and Concur. Responsibilities: Generate and distribute financial reports to support decision-making processes. Review and analyze expense accounts to ensure proper allocation of funds. Conduct audits and reconcile funds from third-party course providers. Manage the budgeting processes, including reviewing the approved budget and confirming all allocations are to the correct cost centers. Conduct outreach for the collection of outstanding revenue from the previous year. Investigate and explain variances in budget and actual spending. Support the development and implementation of the department’s accounting and financial management procedures. Ensure compliance with operational policies and fiscal policies. Manage customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status. Requirements Proven experience as a Finance Manager for a period of 7 or more years Proficiency in using 3M and ADP - Financial Services Demonstrated skill in using Accounting Software Systems and Concur Proficient in CRM Experience in executing Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Auditing and Budget Processes Familiarity with Capital Management Ability to explain, identify, investigate, and analyze variance Experience in Variance Explanations and Variance Analysis Proven skill in Cost Variance and Budgeting - Forecasting Knowledge of Budgeting, Budget administration, and Annual Budget Experience in handling Annual Operating Budget, Expense Budget, and Department Budget Ability to Manage Budgets and Managing Budgets Experience in handling Monthly Budget, Operating Budget, and Operational Budgets Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE) Ability to Prepare Budgets Knowledge of Operating Policies, Operational Policies, and Policies And Procedures Familiarity with Fiscal Policy and Financial Policy.
