Simon & Schuster is seeking a Financial Analyst who will assist the business manager and other senior finance team members with the management of different business units.Responsibilities include:

Work with editorial team to prepare title acquisition P&Ls

Analysis of title profitability post publication

Prepare presentation packages for meetings with publishers or other senior level executives

Work with associate publishers to review marketing expenditures

Maintain current year title database

Assist business manager with monthly revisions to revenue & expense forecast

Provide monthly sales reports

Ad-hoc financial analysis

Qualifications:

0 – 1 year of experience in corporate finance

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access

Knowledge of IBM TM1/Cognos a plus

Effective organization and multi-tasking skills

Detail oriented

Quick learner

Self-starter

Strong verbal and written communication skills
