Job Description

We are looking for someone who has initiative, a strategic mindset, fantastic design and relationship building skills. This position would be responsible for assessing and executing design on revolving projects such as brand architecture and strategy, social assets, sign design, mobile app graphics, print collateral and anything related to event marketing and promotion. You will be in charge of managing your own work-flow, while simultaneously monitoring the overall production (project scoping, pipeline management, project management, etc) of their own design work. We are looking for a team player that will collaborate with other designers and departments, execute design work, and bring new ideas to the table on how to evolve Informa Connect design workflow.


Responsibilities:


Design (50%)

  • Executes design projects across various mediums including digital and traditional media such as ads (print/digital), prospectus, brochures, signs and so on
  • Provides design execution support to the entirety of the brand team and Informa Connect
  • Be the brand ambassador and execute the bulk of the design work for a specified business vertical
  • Upholds business brand guidelines
  • Omni Channel implementation: understand and learn our design process and be able to swiftly adopt into your own workflow


Project Management (25%)

  • Oversees scale and scope of their individual projects: assess all workflow and able to plan all creative deliverables accordingly while managing client expectations
  • Communicate and present new ideas effectively to the executive creative director and clients
  • Ability to understand your clients need and work closely with them to ensure they are heard while simultaneously ensuring the products are following the brand standards
  • Be the leader for the brands that you will champion


Strategy (20%)

  • Brand Architecture development: Ability to build the brand architecture often for our clients to understand their portfolios better. Must be able to understand how to build these and how to make them easily understood.
  • Brand Strategy: Understand the client’s needs by following an assessment process to help guide your brands and educate the clients on best decisions
  • Holistic: being able to look at the family of brands that you will manage and see where there are inconsistencies, areas of improvement and alignment, ways to make the brand perform more efficiently.


Other(5%)

  • Perform ad-hoc projects and work as needed to support the creative design team
  • Attend trainings and conferences as suggest by manager

Qualifications

Required Experience(required experience to be consideredfor the role):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the marketing or graphic design field
  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience (Internship experience is considered)
  • Proven technical skills in the following areas:
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign
  • Microsoft office programs (ppt, excel, word)
  • Video creative and editing software (not necessary but is a bonus)
  • Exhibits positive attitude, willingness to collaborate and problem solve with others
  • Communication skills are important – both written and verbal
  • Must have proven leadership skills in managing multiple projects and teams
  • Must demonstrate advanced design skills in tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in matrixed, high paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple requests at once as well as assist others on the team with their pipelines
  • Experience in events design and marketing/communications a big plus
