We are looking for an Overnight Handler available during the time periods; 11/25 - 11/30 and 12/19 - 1/1
We are looking for a temporary overnight dog handler during the Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year Holiday. You would be staying overnight at our facility in a room with anywhere from 10 - 25 dogs. Should you enjoy the job and do well, this could turn into a more permanent part time or fill in position. You must be a responsible and caring person who LOVES dogs.
We are a completely cage/kennel/crate free environment. You are encouraged to get the dogs to rest at night. We have a comfortable bed for you in which you can sleep as long as the dogs are sleeping as well. The pack gets a ton of energy out during the day so it best serves them to rest at night. You are still expected to wake up periodically to clean up any pee/poop messes throughout the night. You may be working alongside another Overnight Handler also overseeing a separate pack of dogs depending on that day's numbers.
This is a perfect job for writers or Netflix binge watchers or just people who have the need for K9 interaction. These shifts start at 10pm and end at 8/9am with paid breaks.
You must be detail oriented as feedings and medication directions need to be strictly followed. This is a big part of your responsibility. We are looking for experienced dog people not just someone who has a cousin with a dog.
