Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as part of the go-to, expert team for key category research inclusive of Packaged Goods, Beauty & Personal Care, Beverage, and Travel across NBCUniversal Ad Sales
Research, analyze and report on relevant categories, changing consumer behaviors & media industry trends
Perform dataset analysis to identify relevant insights and translate into clear, concise and polished internal & external-facing materials
Develop, deliver, and present compelling stories around the relevant categories, including trends and insights to facilitate the development of client-centric strategies & category-level solutions
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the NBCUniversal portfolio & provide strategic sales positioning to differentiate the NBCU portfolio in the marketplace
Turn insights and trends into compelling narratives reflecting how Comcast/NBCU platforms and assets can turn a client’s brand positioning into a fully realized marketing and media investment at scale
Identify new revenue growth opportunity areas and work with sales & cross-functional stakeholders to capitalize on those opportunities
Operationalize, organize, and project manage day-to-day activities of the Category Strategy team and relevant categories
Oversee and/or provide guidance to more junior team members as necessary (e.g. Ad Sales Rotational Associates, interns, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years in relevant experience
Successful candidate must be a strategic thinker with a strong interest in advertising/media, consumer insights, and business.
Team player with strong communication, strategic narrative and interpersonal skills. Focused on cultivating and growing strong internal and external relationships
Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Act proactively to anticipate and deliver on sales requests and client need
Ability to work efficiently and accurately with excellent attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
