Chief Administrative Officer, Risk & ComplianceThis job reports to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRCO) and serves as the primary liaison between the CRCO and TIAA organizations in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business. With a heavy emphasis on driving continuous improvement and expense management, this job partners with the Risk and Compliance leadership team to devise strategies and plans to enable business priorities, drive operational efficiency, and define metrics and reports on the performance of the various departments. With ownership for medium-term (2-4 years) strategy execution and the operational direction of the business, this job leads activities in the areas of financial and headcount management, strategic planning, business management, program management, continuous improvement, internal communications and reporting, resource planning, and culture & engagement to drive business results.Key Responsibilities and Duties
Owns analysis of expense levers to drive productivity, continuous improvement and efficiency, with significant focus on expense management of the CRCO organization.
Communicates strategic direction and executes on the agenda of the CRCO leadership team.
Develops Board and C-Suite/Executive Committee presentations and reports on behalf of the CRCO, including quarterly/annual business reviews, strategic plans, board materials, etc.
Collaborates with the Risk & Compliance leadership team to develop, manage and advocate for the overall Risk & Compliance budget, hiring plan and real estate strategy.
Serves as a trusted partner and advisor to the CRCO; assists with day-to-day business operations, and proactively identifies and resolves issues impacting the successful execution of the CRCO’s responsibilities and commitments.
Additional Responsibilities
Partners with Finance/HR to execute on financial and strategic planning, including risk & opportunity analysis, in-year planning, and re-forecast activities.
Partners with HR to manage key talent initiatives including employee training and development, diversity, equity, and inclusion, recruiting, and culture & engagement.
Develops and executes a corporate real estate strategy in line with the goals of Risk & Compliance and TIAA.
Manages vendor Statement of Work (SOWs) and invoice/payment approval processes.
Supports Risk & Compliance business cadence activities.
Serves as the Risk & Compliance Representative on key Steering Committees and Corporate Councils as necessary.
