Overview Come join us at Con Ed as a Technical Lead where you will have a chance to lead the Distribution Electric Control Center (DECC) PI team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the high availability of PI infrastructure, design and develop PI Dashboards and BI reports, and maintain cyber-secured systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage project deadlines, and coordinate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery drills. Additionally, you will handle scheduling, training, hiring, and onboarding of analysts or contractors. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact and grow with us!Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Responsible for Integrating enterprise business systems with Aveva/OsiSoft PI software. Responsible for support, maintenance, architecture, and development of PI Data Historian infrastructure supporting Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers. Responsible for configuration, coding, and testing related to PI Data Historian including but not limited to; Creation/modification of extra large PI system with 1.5M PI tags and more, Implementing PI Data Archive HA & DR, Implementing PI AF HA & DR, Implementing PI Vision HA & DR, PI AF Element templates and AF Elements, PI based dashboards (PI Vision/Process Book), PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications and PI Event Frames, PI Interfaces: PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, PI DNP3, PI integrator for business analytics (PII4BA) Responsible for managing technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning, and resolving application issues. Respond to system alerts 24x7x365 on a scheduled basis to resolve issues and ensure application availability. Collaborate with peers to translate business requirements to Technical Design Specifications. Design and develop code for Control Center applications as required. Responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for Distribution Electric, Gas and Steam Control Centers by implementing system enhancement, monitoring server status, and responding to alerts. Utilize management skills to define road maps and delivery for complex and high impact projects related to SCADA, OMS and GIS integrations. Periodically review and update procedures and Disaster Recovery documents related to the PI Historian infrastructure, and other associated systems such as OMS and SCADA. Good knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in support activities. Knowledge of ITIL tools like ServiceNow Communicate effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and team members. Reports on project status, issues, key activities and any changes to the charter of the overall project. Identifies and communicates resource conflicts. Provides presentations on project updates, project cycle, expected and actual results. Builds a close working relationship with clients/vendors. Act as coach and mentor to assigned team members; provide performance feedback to team members manager and formally participate in the performance review process. Track recurrent hardware/software licenses and support contracts to ensure ongoing support for critical systems by executing timely renewals. Conduct duties on behalf of Systems Manager/Director as delegated. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.Qualifications Required Education/Experience Master's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Math/Science, or Engineering and Minimum 2 years' experience hands-on experience with Infrastructure, servers, storage, Data Centers, network topology or Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Math/Science, or Engineering and Minimum 3 years' experience hands-on experience with Infrastructure, servers, storage, Data Centers, network topology or Associate's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Math/Science, or Engineering and Minimum 5 years' experience hands-on experience with Infrastructure, servers, storage, Data Centers, network topology or High School Diploma/GED and Minimum 7 years' experience hands-on experience with Infrastructure, servers, storage, Data Centers, network topologyPreferred Education/Experience Master's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Math/Science, or Engineering and Minimum 4 years' experience hands-on experience with Infrastructure, servers, storage, Data Centers, network topologyRelevant Work Experience 5-7 years Minimum 5 years experience of hands-on hardware, storage administration Required 3-5 years Experience in leading and motivating teams, setting goals and driving for results. Required 3-5 years Must be able to lead team activities, perform project management functions and supervise team members. Will contribute significantly to performance reviews of team members. Required 5-7 years Working knowledge of networking, Linux, and virtual environment infrastructure administration. Required 5-7 years Strong skills and experience with MS Office or similar suite. Word Excel, PowerPoint, Visio required; Project is preferred. Required Anticipate, identify and manage resolutions of critical obstacles. Required 3-5 years Able to act as a coach and mentor for assigned team members with the ability to transfer knowledge to various audiences. Required 5-7 years Expertise with Linux Clusters, shared clustered file systems, disaster recovery and maintaining High availability operations at Server and Application level. Preferred 5-7 years Experience with GE PowerOn SCADA Application Preferred Knowledge of cyber security Preferred 3-5 years At least three (3) year of managerial/supervisory experience. Preferred Comfortable working in a matrix environment. Preferred Programming skills: C#, .Net, Visual Studio, SSIS, API/Adapter calls, SQL, Microsoft PowerBI, PowerShell Self-Motivated and Ability to learn quickly and independently. Must be able to take on a project and run with it with minimal supervision. Ability to provide detailed documentation of end-to-end solution.
