Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide daily support for artists using AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Autodesk Flame, and associated plugins, etc.
  • Set up, move, monitor, and maintain rooms for daily and weekly client sessions, ensuring creative workstations and editorial suites are in optimal running state
  • Calibration of color critical displays and audio monitoring in conjunction with internal standards and methods
  • Troubleshoot video, audio, and networking hardware and software related issues throughout facility and client offsite deployments
  • Off-premises installation of editorial and remote review systems at client facility and home office locations as required
  • Assist in maintaining facility data transfers using Signiant Media Shuttle, Aspera and various other transfer protocols
  • Source materials from vendors for system and facility maintenance of high-performance computing, data center networking, and broadcast video and audio infrastructure
  • Daily support of remote desktop extension solutions utilizing Amulet Hotkey, Leostream, Jump Desktop and other associated hardware/software deployments
  • Support remote review hardware and software solutions including but not limited to Clearview Flex, Evercast, Zoom, and other proprietary applications
  • Document and maintain departmental procedures in a comprehensive manner for the benefit of entire technology team
  • Other departmental duties, as required and assigned
  • This role will be on a later schedule to support the team

Qualifications

Required qualifications and background:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a post-production engineering environment or equivalent experience preferred
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, or comparable professional experience
  • Experience with network protocols routing and switching
  • Deep Knowledge of MacOS, Linux, and Windows systems, desktop, server, and VM environments, bash scripting, working in terminal
  • General knowledge of remote user interface and streaming protocols not limited to RGS ZCentral, NoMachine, Teradici, Nevion, Streambox, Zoom, etc.
  • Program experience with at least one language; Python, Perl, Bash or Java
  • Experience with video signal standards and related infrastructure
  • Understanding of network file sharing protocols; particularly NFS, SMB/CIFS and secure digital delivery mechanisms (Signiant, Aspera, etc.)
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented and excellent communication skills
