Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in New York, New York. Operating within the Non-Profit industry, the role requires the successful candidate to be responsible for procuring supplies and equipment, tracking inventory, and resolving discrepancies. This position will also involve contract negotiations, document review, and customer service.Responsibilities: Procure necessary supplies and equipment effectively for the organization Accurately track and manage inventory across various departments Review and analyze reports related to procurement and inventory Support requests for purchases and manage the purchase order process Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best terms Resolve discrepancies in procurement and inventory records promptly Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders Use MS Office tools and procurement software (Aestiva) to streamline and automate procurement processes Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency Assist in other procurement-related tasks as needed. Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in procurement within a non-profit organization Proven expertise in contract term negotiation and analysis Document review skills are essential for this role Experience in negotiating contracts and pricing Familiarity with the process of issuing and managing purchase orders Ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently and effectively Excellent customer service skills are required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically Knowledge of procurement software and systems is a plus Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
