Job Description:Product Manager, StreamingJoin the Product & Strategy team as a Product Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in designing and rolling out news streaming and digital workflows. You will be responsible for conducting end-user research and solving complex problems across various production, operations, and editorial stakeholder groups, with a special focus on digital and streaming news content creation and distribution. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, collaborating, designing, and verifying solutions, providing and managing training, and managing the rollout of new solutions.Key Responsibilities:· Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify and address specific needs for ABC News digital and streaming teams, including newsroom systems, Content Management Systems, publishing tools etc.· Engage with vendors and internal software teams to develop solutions, create integrations, and optimize workflows.· Manage the entire lifecycle of news production and publishing solutions, from initial concept to deployment and post-launch support.· Work closely with software development, media operations, product development, and editorial groups to develop and refine solutions.· Play a key role in the change management process, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption of new technologies and processes.· Design and implement training programs for staff on new systems and workflows.· Maintain a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies related to digital news and streaming.Qualifications:· Strong experience in television, streaming, or digital news production, with a specific focus on live news graphics and related production workflows.· Proven ability to work effectively with operations, production, and technology teams in a media environment.· Knowledge of various live graphics systems and vendors, and the ability to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field.· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in a relevant field.· Familiarity with CMS systems, live-streaming technology, file and live transcoding solutions, newsroom systems etc.· 5-7 years of experience in product management, particularly in media or news related projects.Preferred Qualifications:· Background in software development or UX design, particularly in solutions related to news and content productionThe hiring range for this position in NY is $142,600.00 to $191,100.00per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
