Help lead the Production Systems Infrastructure team in adopting cutting-edge broadcast technology.
Implement broadcast technology into 30 Rock's Production systems.
Create new systems and workflows for NBCU Operation Teams.
Design, document, and configure technical facilities like control rooms, studio equipment, and computer equipment.
Collaborate with production and operations to understand project needs.
Manage engineering projects and prioritize tasks.
Communicate with Entertainment & News Production communities to gather project requirements.
Create handoff documentation and provide training.
Act as a support contact for emergencies.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast/production, electrical engineering, computer science, Information Systems, or STEM-based field of study or equivalent work expereince.
5+ years of recent TV broadcast experience.
Proficiency in broadcast production systems and software, including SMPTE standards, Grass Valley SMPTE-2110 Products, and other similar systems.
Solid understanding of computer networking and SMPTE standards.
Understanding of the 24/7 nature of on-air environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong familiarity with TV engineering and broadcast systems.
Desired Characteristics:
Familiarity with TV engineering and broadcast systems.
Proficiency in broadcast production systems and software, including Evertz Products, Calrec Audio Consoles, and others.
Solid understanding of SMPTE standards and technical/plant facilities.
Schematic design and drafting knowledge.
Familiarity with FPGA design.
