o Act as a strategic partner to design leadership on large complex problems and operational programs.
o Identify and drive product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, and many moving parts
o Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve product team efficiency and impact
o Operate in highly ambiguous spaces, formulating a strategic approach to problem solving, helping the design team function more effectively
o Ability to build meaningful cross-functional relationships.
o Leverage relationships to inform problem solving and improve our design team's focus and velocity. Partner with PM's who are supporting key products.
o Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps and owners while resolving blocks that impede progress.
o Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger teams.
o Support the management team with effective team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution.
o Define and measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively.
o Provide operational strategy for complex problems associated with a growing organization and limited design resources.
o Choose the highest impact opportunities and execute. Ensure we are resourcing both the short-term needs as well as looking ahead and planning for the next big challenge across product design teams.
o Develop lightweight, repeatable processes, standards, workflows and tools that keep the team nimble and successful in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quickly.
QUALIFICATIONS (DETAILED FOCUS POINTS):
o • 6+ years of experience as a digital producer, project manager or program manager with experience establishing programs, supporting design teams, and developing relationships
o • 2+ years of direct people management experience.
o • Knowledge of design process, strategy, and developing design standards.
o • Experienced in design operations.
o • Experience working directly with product designers, UX researchers, and content strategists
o • Track record of influencing, defining and scaling complex company-wide product or business strategy in a fast-paced environment
o • Experience working with product teams or programs from roadmapping through delivery
o • Track record of operating independently and without oversight
o • Experience managing vendors and contractors
o • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions

What is driving the need for this resource
Design Program Managers at Client help coordinate the efforts across multi-discipline design teams, supporting projects, building team cohesion and community, and strategizing and creating processes to improve team impact and performance. The Responsible AI (RAI) design team needs to develop consistent guidelines that work for the entire family of apps. In order to do so we must work with XFN groups at scale. This role will require being a partner to T&C leads, the point of contact to triage design and engineering requests, manage project timelines and milestones, define internal processes, and set up systems to organize and catalog work for future audit trail purposes.

1. Operate in highly ambiguous spaces, formulating a strategic approach to problem solving, helping the design team function more effectively. Experience with scaling design systems.
2. Create a process to triage design/uxr/engineering requests. (How do we work on problems that matter). Generate status reports and help manage escalations.
3. Have a track record of influencing, defining, and scaling complex company-wide product or business strategy in a fast-paced environment
