Weekly onsite travel to these specific markets will be required for this position; the ideal candidate will be located within comfortable commute distance to this market area.Opportunity:As a Projects & Specifications Sales Executive you would be responsible for business development in the secondary market. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate who can grow the projects business in NYC by targeting key real estate developers and establishing strategic relationships with them that will result in strong future pipelines of business. The candidate will be responsible for driving the projects business in the NYC market in the hospitality, luxury residential, and commercial business segments. The focus will be on the secondary market, controlling our own destiny, and executing our “Spec to Ship” strategy to effectively win incremental business and take market share.Specific Responsibilities:

Prospecting new customers, real estate developers, general contractors, and construction management firms, targeting the highest-level decision maker.Utilizing resources and programs to further penetrate existing customers at the highest level.

Own key subcontractor/plumber relationships.

Work with distributor partners to maintain KOHLER specifications and support them throughout quotation and shipping process.

Project management – Managing individual projects from quote process to the final delivery of product. Working with supply chain on demand planning for large projects.

You will regularly team up with your colleagues as each of you will own multiple customers on a project.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Sales, Business Administration or Marketing.3+ years of sales experience required.

Must possess moderate skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.

Domestic Travel to trade shows, manufacturing plants, and customer visits as needed, approximately 10 - 30% annually.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
