Property Manager

Description Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Manager to join our client's team in managing a residential portfolio located in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, with expertise in building owner and tenant relations, leasing, compliance, inspections, vendor management, maintenance coordination, capital improvement projects, financial reporting/property accounting, and more. The position requires proficiency in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in Excel and Yardi software.Description:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with building owners and tenants to ensure high tenant satisfaction and retention.

Oversee leasing activities, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, screening prospective tenants, and negotiating leases.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing residential properties.

Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues and ensure properties are well-maintained and in compliance with safety standards.

Manage vendors and contractors, including obtaining bids, negotiating contracts, and overseeing work quality and timelines.

Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities, including responding to tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Plan and manage capital improvement projects, from initial planning and budgeting through project completion.

Prepare and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the properties.

Perform property accounting functions, including rent collection, expense tracking, and accounts payable/receivable.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in property management, with a focus on residential properties.

Strong knowledge of market rate, condo, and co-op properties in Manhattan.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Proficiency in property management software, particularly Yardi, and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
