Job Title: Registered NurseJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the activities of all nursing personnel within their assigned area. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of nursing protocols, and the ability to provide high-quality care to patients.Responsibilities
Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the person and the Nursing Department.
Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.
Conduct daily rounds to ensure patient care standards are met.
Review care plans to ensure appropriate goals, problems, and interventions are identified and revised as needed.
Ensure continuity of care by informing supervisors and staff of unit status and related matters through written reports and verbal communication.
Conduct daily conferences with unit staff to review specific patient care and communicate and interpret recent policy and procedure changes.
Extend courtesy to all unit visitors.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available on the assigned unit.
Provide consultation for unit personnel, resolve immediate problems, and communicate actions to the Unit Supervisor.
Maintain records, files, and reports as directed.
Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by the Supervisor.
Essential Skills
Long-term care experience
Care management
Managed care
Active RN license
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
NYS licensure as an RN
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
6+ months of experience in long-term care, case management, geriatrics, and triage
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Work EnvironmentThis position requires a commitment to a minimum of 3 days per week, with an every-other-weekend schedule. The weekends are defined as Saturday and Sunday, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis. The available shifts are as follows: Day (7:30 am - 3:30 pm), Evening (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm), and Night (11:30 pm - 7:30 am). Week 1 will be classroom-based, focusing on learning procedures, protocols, and EMR. Week 2 will involve being buddied up on the first shift to learn floor rules and orient to specific floors. The position offers a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential benefits including union membership, sign-on bonuses, student loan forgiveness, 403b plans, and employer-paid pensions.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
