Citibank, N.A. seeks a Relationship Banker for its New York, NY location.Duties: Develop and maintain client relationships and work with senior colleagues across countries to come up with a coherent franchise level strategy on banking advisory, and solutions. Provide financial advice to large global firms and advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts, sources, or timing and create client presentations of plan details. Analyze financial or operational performance of companies to identify and provide advice ranging from raising capital, deploying capital and managing working capital. Engage with the existing portfolio of global clients to source more transaction flow business and episodic deals and collaborate with investment bankers to attract new corporate clients. Confer with clients to restructure debt, refinance debt, or raise new debt, update clients with market related updates and advise them on risk hedging strategies – foreign exchange, commodities and interest rates. Deployment of bank’s capital within various clients and within a client amongst various products to achieve the desired returns on the portfolio. Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or personal interviews and translate strategy into an effective and efficient business plan and drive a healthy balance between near-term and long-term priorities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in any field of study, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Banker or in a related occupation. Must possess five (5) years of experience with the following: Cross-selling banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, syndicated and bilateral loans and capital market products; Originating, structuring and recommending suitable financing solutions for the working and long-term capital requirements of customers utilizing knowledge of the lending and credit approval process; Proposing and recommending optimal solutions to clients across variety of products using knowledge of pertinent laws, rules and regulations; Coordinating with global organizations to identify key buying centers; Evaluating research reports, business plans and financials forecasts to produce strategic advisory to clients; Analyzing models used to forecast the client's operating and financial performance and be able to articulate assumptions and analysis to senior Business and Risk colleagues; and Evaluating clients' business, financial performance and key credit drivers across various industries with the ability to raise issues and concerns as needed. 40 hrs./wk. 10% domestic and international travel required.
