Job: IRC23845DescriptionJob Title Research AssistantLaboratory / Department Neurosciences and BehaviorDepartment DescriptionDetailed DescriptionThe Research Assistant will commit to at least one year working closely with a Ph.D. student in the laboratory on research projects related to understanding memory and cognition in the mammalian brain. The Research Assistant will assist with mouse virtual behaviors, surgery for brain implants, and histology. Will have the potential for training in more advanced techniques such as optogenetics and imaging if desired and/or appropriate.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Science required. Must have prior experience handling mice, scruffing and behavior. Experience in wetlab (cloning, gels, etc) or with dry lab (programing in matlab, data analysis, etc) a plus. Good communication and organization skills required.
