Position SummaryThe Department of Pediatrics is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a full-time Research Coordinator position. Columbia University Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. Our Clinical, Translational and Basic Science research features collaborations across specialties and stretches from the bench to bedside. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients. This position will support the department by providing support to our Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center in the Division of Pulmonology.ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of multiple CF clinical research studies and clinical trials. Duties include regulatory oversight, subject recruitment, data collection, sample processing, reporting of adverse events, and oversight of regulatory reporting/compliance. The individual will serve as liaise with the Clinical Trials’ Office, other departments, data coordinating centers, clinical research organizations, and external agencies.Research Coordinator will develop project related educational materials, coordinate site initiation training sessions, be the primary informational resource/contact for the study, and run interval study update meetings to ensure that disseminated study information is clear and followed compliantly. In addition, he/she will prospectively review and reconcile study data, generate study reports for OSMB review and develop internal and external auditing plans and procedures.Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience

Prior experience working with clinical research studies required. Must be an independent thinker with above average communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluent in written/verbal Spanish language preferred.
