Brooklyn Tails & Trails is a top-rated dog walking company based in Downtown Brooklyn. We’re currently looking for an experienced and reliable dog walker/handler to join our team, serving the Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive dog handling experience with breeds of all sizes, ages, and temperaments.
- Confident and skilled in reading dog body language and managing behavior appropriately.
- Comfortable using positive reinforcement techniques and maintaining control of up to three dogs at a time.
- Enjoys being outdoors in all weather conditions — rain, shine, hot, or cold.
- Our clients treat their pets like family, and they trust us to do the same. You must be dependable, trustworthy, committed, and an excellent communicator who respects clients’ homes and privacy.
- Must be available Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary daily).
- Additional opportunities available for weekends, holidays, and overnight pet sitting.
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must own a reliable smartphone in good working condition
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing exercise and attentive care through walking, playtime, petting, and safe crating.
- Always prioritizing the safety and well-being of the dogs, with a close eye on behavior and surroundings.
- Punctuality and time management are essential — you must reliably follow and complete your daily schedule within the assigned time frames.
- Comfortable walking outdoors in all weather conditions and physically capable of walking for up to 5 hours per day.
