Demonstrated knowledge and experience in building design and construction. Demonstrated ability to work with non-technical staff. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Familiarity with residential codes and standards is highly preferred. The position will require travel to parts of the state on an on-needed basis. Duties Description The Senior Architect is responsible for completing objective technical reviews on proposed projects that apply for funding with HCR. The position also involves extensive oversight through construction completion.Relevant Duties:Technical assistance to help improve a proposed project's viability and cost effectiveness.Review of technical design and construction aspects of applications submitted for funding.Technical construction document review of projects selected for funding to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, Agency sustainability requirements, and Agency design requirements.Coordination with other Agency staff to ensure compliance with program requirements.Oversight during construction to ensure that all design and construction requirements are met.Assists in development of new initiatives; aids in development of program management, analysis of proposed criteria and evaluation of existing issues; performs additional duties as assigned by the Director. Additional Comments This position is NOT a NYS Civil Service position. This position will be placed on our public corporation payroll, which operates as a quasi-state agency. Employees who are on the public corporation payroll receive the same benefits as other New York State employees without having to take an examination.The current salary for this position has been set to $90,955 and the negotiating unit is UAW (United Automobile Workers). Identify potential IT issues and their risk levels, provide remedial recommendations, and develop action plans to mitigate risk. Requirements:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field, plus three years of experience in the position offered or as IT Audit Manager or IT Audit Senior Manager.One year of the required experience must have included participating in and project managing technology audits including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting, and follow up and verification of issue closure; knowledge of SDLC concepts, financial services, financial reporting, change management, incident management, identity and access management; applying professional standards including IIA, ISACA, and SSAE 16; knowledge of COBIT and controls around third-party governance and oversight; reviewing ITGC and controls around information security to perform IT risk identification, IT risk assessment, risk response mitigation, and risk and control monitoring reporting; and working with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and cloud computing in a complex distributed computing environment. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
