SEO Strategist

We are looking for a full-time SEO Strategist who will provide value to clients in the form of high-quality SEO strategy and analysis. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves operating in the space where data analytics and creative strategy development collide.The ideal candidate will also be interested in advising other members of our client services team on SEO strategy, collaborating with project managers and analysts, and taking ownership over the SEO success of client projects.As a key team member in a quickly growing digital marketing agency, you will have endless opportunities to expand your own digital marketing skillset. You will work hand-in-hand with senior members of our strategy team to learn how we develop data-driven SEO strategies and how we communicate them to clients.We are also looking for people who can leverage their own expertise and critical thinking skills to develop brand new marketing strategies that generate results. Some of our clients have included DIFF Eyewear, Citizen Watch, Lovepop, and The Grommet.Responsibilities

Monitor SEO data to ensure marketing success for our clients

Execute on the agency’s established SEO strategies

Proactively develop, adapt, and evolve SEO strategies to fit the clients’ needs

Direct a team of project managers and analysts on the execution of the SEO strategy you’ve developed

Work with analysts to create high-quality and actionable deliverables that clients will love

Stay abreast of the newest marketing trends and strategies, as well as the latest updates to Google’s ranking algorithms and changes in the AI-enabled search landscape

Guide the analyst team on execution, including implementation in the backend of our clients’ CMS

Develop and lead link-building campaigns

Explain SEO deliverables, concepts, and strategies to internal teams and client teams

Research and answer technical SEO questions

Leverage data to help shape the agency’s ever-evolving SEO processes

Develop the following kinds of data-driven deliverables and strategies:

Link-building strategy

Technical SEO audits and action plans

Keyword research and optimization

Site redesign action plans

Content calendars and strategy

On-Page SEO strategy and optimization

Off-Page SEO strategy and optimization

Opportunity identification

SEO competitor research

AI search strategy

Monthly SEO reporting

Interface with clients on biweekly calls and over email, boiling down complex subject matter until they can understand it, realize the value of it, and take action on it

Maintain strong client relationships by addressing client concerns regarding the strategy, execution, and results of our marketing campaigns

Mine Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, and other SEO tools to identify high-level opportunities and new initiatives

Position requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Outstanding analytical skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google spreadsheets with the ability to put together detailed reports and perform complex analysis

Experience in managing multiple tasks and priorities

Well-organized and detail-oriented

Avid learner

Strong Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite skills

Preferred qualifications include experience with:

content strategy

keyword research

link building

on-page optimisation & SEO

technical SEO

SEO tools, including (but not limited to) Ahrefs, Moz, SemRush, Screaming Frog, Deepcrawl, Google Analytics, Google Search Console

CMS such as Wordpress and Shopify

exposure to project management fundamentals

Asana

AI & Autmation tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Julius.AI, Make.com etc.)
