Description Staff Accountant candidates will be interested in Robert Half's full-time opportunity with an innovative Engineering company. To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments Requirements - Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Efficient in ERP systems

Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Accounting Entries experience desired

Prepaid Expense experience

Strong familiarity with Monthly Closings

Foundational knowledge in year end closings

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
